From parents, guardians, or approved adults, we may collect:

We do not collect personal information directly from a child.

1.2 Child Information (Limited & Minimal)

To create a safe reading environment, we may collect:

• Child’s first name or nickname (optional)
• Child’s age range (e.g., 2–4, 5–8, 9–12)

We never require a child’s last name, address, email, or phone number.

1.3 Usage Information

To improve the platform, we collect:

• Device type (tablet, phone, computer)
• Session length
• General activity (e.g., turning pages, starting a story, using sound effects)

1.4 Video & Audio

BookTimeLive includes real-time video reading sessions.

• Video and audio streams are never stored or recorded.
• They exist only while the session is happening.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide live reading sessions
• Sync pages between adults and children
• Customize the story library experience
• Improve performance and fix issues
• Communicate with account holders

We do not sell or share personal information with advertisers.

3. Parental Consent

Because BookTimeLive may be used by children under 13, we follow COPPA rules.

We require verifiable adult consent before:

• A child can participate in a live reading
• Creating a child profile
• Joining a shared story library

If consent is not provided, the account cannot be used by a child.

4. Sharing Information

We share information only with trusted providers who help us operate BookTimeLive:

• Video platform provider
• Payment processor
• Cloud hosting provider

They may not use information for anything other than running BookTimeLive.

We do not share or sell data to advertisers.
